I'll try not to be crude, but... [fangirling XD] [Mar. 31st, 2006|01:00 am]
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
That concert was orgasmic! Amazing brilliance! Oh, David Gahan, you are God! ♥ When you did those naughty things to the mic stand, and you ripped off your waistcoat and then went forth to subtly prove to us all you were wearing no underwear ~ Oh, my ~ Fuck, that band is amazing beyond words, and truly one of the greatest live acts to date. How they owned that stage! Three encores! I was a quivering mess halfway through but they decided to torment me and render me near to the point of unconciousness by playing both 'Personal Jesus' and 'Enjoy the Silence' in that order. *mush*

♥ Depeche Mode LOVE

[Tune |DM - Precious]

Jeez, i'm getting too excited! Depeche Mode have creeped up on me! Not long now, the night after next and me and butterflysteve are heading to the M.E.N arena. Double whammy with the support band, whom I adore, 'The Bravery'. ♥ Hmm~ what else have I been up to? Oh! Last night I went to this amazing club called 'Heebie Jeebies', it was all cool and underground and had velvet curtains and chaise lounges and gold wallpaper. I'm officially in love with that place. They play good music too! The whole night I couldn't get the image of Santiago dancing up the stone arch out of my head, it reminded me of that XD Hmmm.... strange. I've just been sent episode 16 of Lost series 2, it's called 'The Whole Truth' so i'm quite intrigued. Will I finally get answers? Well, I can't watch it just yet, i've got episodes 14-15 to watch beforehand! I've just started reading Mary Renault's 'The Persian Boy' and i'm really enjoying it. I've become quite interested in Greek and Egyptian History, rekindling my studies in Ancient History and hopefully i'll be accepted on the summer course i'm applying for. I sound like a total geek, but Alexander's story really intrigues me ~

Runcorn - the place to be [as if XD] [Mar. 25th, 2006|10:49 pm]
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
[Tune |Andy Williams - Moon river]

Apart from having been the dentist yesterday, today's been rather good. They were filming an episode of Super Nanny in the road next to mine, which was rather cool :) And they're filming a new drama/comedy show for BBC3 by mine, too. Random, but I was quite shocked they'd chosen Runcorn - it's not exactly glamorous! And Pete Doherty was in our local pub a week or two ago, not that it's great news or anything XD

Home for the weekend ~ [Mar. 24th, 2006|01:56 am]
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
[Tune |Ok Go - Get over it]

Well, i'm off back home tomorrow for Mother's Day and my eagerly anticipated [yeah, right] visit to the dentists where I know i'm getting dosed up on cocaine. Ugh, needles in gums not good! But yeah, apart from slobbering like a flobberworm for the best part of tomorrow afternoon, hidaka2005 is coming up from Cardiff, so I managed to organise to go see the 'Hostel' with him tomorrow night, looks good :D and freaky. If a film doesn't shock you, scare you or make you cry out in laughter or sadness, it's not doing its' job, right? On the note of scary films, I just downloaded Blair Witch Project [the only film that, so far, has managed to scare the crap out of me</i> and to make it worse I watched it in the dark on my own! I'm okay until you get the crepy hangy things and children outside the tent, then it just sends me into shock ~

I also had a rather unnerving experience with a coke can. Dread of all dreads when I felt something floating in it [when I had just opened it] and my first reaction was to scream down Skype to hidaka2005 'It's a thumb! Oh god, it's a thumb!', I then continued to make myself physically ill in disgust of what I thought was dwelling in my can before inspecting. It happened to be a clump of sugar granules in my suger free coke. They lie! Lies~ But yeah, so not touching another coke can :P

Memories ~ [Mar. 22nd, 2006|08:14 pm]
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
[Tune |The Bowling Green - Light from a different sun]

Yesterday I found the first game I ever played on the NES. To be honest, I think it was this game that got me thinking 'Hey! This gaming lark isn't all that bad!'. It was 'Digger - The legend of the Lost City' and I love it as much now as I did then! It's strange after 7 or so years I can still manage to remember all the secrets and hidden tunnels! Love it, LOVE IT! ♥

It looks to me as if i'm never to enjoy my residential in cornwall first week of April. Firstly, it's over Placebo's tour dates. Now, i've been given a chance to get tickets first through the website membership thing for The Cure. Their only 2006 concert at the albert hall. Guess what? Over the dates of my residential. >:O

Spring Clean my Eating Habits [Feb. 27th, 2006|03:47 pm]
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
[Mood |accomplishedaccomplished]
[Tune |Jack off Jill - Strawberry Gashes]

So, i've never agreed with diets, though I would not consider what i'm on a diet as I don't feel like i'm being punished XD I started on Saturday morning and although the first day was hard to ignore cravings for sweet things, I've finally got past it. Basically, it's just healthy eating, cutting out meat [I have vitamin supplements to make sure I don't loose out]. I have fish [which, to be honest, I prefer] - being a student I can't afford the fresh kind, so I opt for tinned sardines and tuna [in spring water], and lots of fruit and vegetables. I usually have one slice of toasted bread with the sardines, but no more [i'm not that big a bread fan, so that helps]. I drink as much water as I can [sometimes I add juice], and unbelievably the sugar cravings have gone, totally - and that's only after 3 days. I've been living off soup out of vegetable stock and adding some chopped vegetables - really cheap and tasty :) The first day and part of sunday I admit I felt a bit tired, but now i've got more energy than i've had all year. I've finally got a decent sleeping habit, finally. The best thing is when I weighed myself this afternoon, I'd apparently lost 3 lbs! Supposedly that's from the water retention process, but i'm hoping to have lost 10 lbs this month :)
